your {Flou-er} invitation

There is a very sweet little evening planned for both myself and Riccardo from Smohk from the very cool and kind folks of Shelter Half. Fresh baked bread and fresh picked wildflowers. What more could you possibly want? I hope that you rsvp and stop by. It's going to be an inspired soirée indeed!

Fleur Wizardry!

I got to spin some floral magic yesterday for a really dreamy shoot I worked on with Claire & Carley! The synergy of everyone at the shoot kept the creativity flowing and the good vibes vibrating!

The pictures came out beautiful. I'm still printing some in the dark room, but I will have a lot more to share with you hopefully by next week.

OK, off to eat some dinner and then a little bit of work and then bed. It feels like there is so much work lately. Which is a really good thing, tiring, but wonderful nonetheless.

Black {flower} Magic

My, my, my. I gasped out loud when I saw these. Taylor is a flower magician! Her crowns are absolutely stunning. Oh, and how about the lighting in this photography? And the make-up? And the beautiful model? Heart overload on many levels here! This is incredibly inspiring. Magic.

Heartfelt birthday wishes

Lucky, lucky me. I am so grateful. I got to wake up later than usual with Elijah and our farm today, only to receive so many lovely and kind birthday wishes and celebrations through mail, email, phone texts and my very own birthday banner strung across my door! I am so deeply honored and in love with my tribe. A very heartfelt thank you for making my birthday this year incredibly special*

Maman

This is my (really beautiful) mom teaching two of her three little ducks to swim in Spain some Summer ago. I never really share pictures of my family here, but I want to dedicate this post to her. She is my constant cheerleader, mentor, graceful adviser and ever beautiful bird of love. (See I told you, every day can be mother's day...). Merci miman.

BEAT!

I am SO beat after this looong mother's day weekend! WOW. It was fantastic and wonderful but I'm not going to lie, A LOT OF WORK. I've decided that this week is going to be my stay-cation week! Besides school and a photography assignment for school, I'm not going to do much else but catch up on sleep, do some cooking + baking, Spring cleaning too, long walks with V.v. and some much needed quality time with Elijah. Pretty grand and very much needed. Have you taken a stay-cation before? So far, so great for me...

My lovely friend Leona and I kicked off my stay-cation yesterday listening to records while making a saffron + peach jam with peaches that we picked from her tree! Leo also muddled some left over peaches and made us Irish Peaches to drink! This is a wonderful way to spend the day. Have you ever made jam before? Drank an Irish Peach?

As for the events of this past weekend, I have so much to share and show you but it will have to wait. For those of you who stopped by, it was so nice to meet you. Did you have a nice mother's day weekend?

* * *A most tremendous and heartfelt *thank you* to both Elijah & Lauren for all of their help this past weekend too. Certainly could not have done it without them* * *

XOXO to all the mother's out there!

Shelter Half + Daily Candy

+

Ummm, so this is pretty exciting. Have you heard of Shelter Half here in Los Angeles? It's a pretty rad pop-up of amazing designers, records, rare books, photography, stellar furniture and home goods + organic products in an incredibly large and extremely well curated space. Good vibes all around. They have asked me to have a TIGERS to LILIES pop-up for the month of June (I am honored), and in the meantime, I'll be dropping off little arrangements to celebrate mother's day this Saturday and Sunday. Pretty cool. I highly recommend checking them out: you'll probably spend some time simply hanging out in their super beautiful and comfortable sofas leafing through an exceptionally good book while listening to some old records. You must say hello to Virginie, too. Doesn't get much cooler than her...

*also, the ad doesn't give credit to Silver Lake Farms which is how I can even go about starting my mornings in the fields. Tara Kolla's extremely hard work, dedication, research, sweat and heart is inspiring on so many different levels. It's all thanks to her we (and I) can have wildflowers that are not only organic but peaceful and prepossessing. Thank you Tara!

Lastly, a little snippet in Daily Candy is certainly a nice way to start the day. Thank you Daily Candy!

Fox Fodder Farm

Fox Fodder Farm is after my own heart (are you listening Taylor?). Seriously. The nostalgic photos, beautiful floral crowns, nature. Makes me sigh out loud. Take yourself for respite here and then you too sigh out loud. Hope you're having a really nice Wednesday*

Patti Smith

“For life is the best thing we have in this existence. And if we should desire to believe in something, it should be a beacon within. This beacon being the sun, sea, and sky, our children, our work, our companions and, most simply put, the embodiment of love.”                                                                                        -Patti Smith

I agree wholeheartedly with Patti. What more can we add to that? Perfectly spoken. What a cool mom. Have you a really lovely mom? I know that you don't need a Hallmark holiday to simply let her know how cool she is, right? Everyday is mother's day as far as my mom is concerned.

Buy Patti Smith: Dream of Life here.
